Dr. Barry Parks
Dr. Barry Parks grew up in Pineville, NC were he graduated from South Mecklenburg High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Western Carolina University. He received his Doctorate degree from North Carolina State University in 1999. He loves spending time with his wife, 3 children, 3 cats and 2 dogs. Away from the office he enjoys participating in outdoor activities, fly fishing, and traveling.
Dr. Ashley Parks
Dr. Ashley Parks grew up in Monroe, NC and graduated from Monroe High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Meredith College. After she graduated from North Carolina State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, she completed an internship at After Hours Small Animal Emergency Clinic and NCSU in Raleigh, NC. As well as being a veterinarian, she is also mom to Sydney, Colby and Wesley. The Parks share their home with a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and 3 spoiled cats.
Dr. Tyler Gallaher
Dr. Tyler Gallaher grew up in Kinston, NC, where he graduated from Arendell Parrot Academy in 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Campbell University in 2010. He attended veterinary school at NC State and graduated in 2015. His professional interests include preventative medicine, dentistry, dermatology, and nutrition. When he’s not in the office, he will most likely be at the golf course! And he also enjoys spending time with his family and his two dogs (Sandy and Lil Bit), woodworking, hiking, backpacking, and playing percussion for his church.

“I owned a Pomeranian for 12 years until it’s untimely death in 2009. During the entire time, Hopkins Road kept it vaccinated and maintained its health, always professionally and courteously. In 2010, I replaced my Pom with an 8 week old Shih Tzu. They guided me through her care and vaccines the first 6 months and treated her during these visits like she was their only “patient”. We now added a second Shih Tzu to the family October of 2012. I just wish to say that the doctors and staff are wonderful and caring and we appreciate you taking care of our “girls”. He is not the type of Dr/vet to rush you, your concerns really matter and he does everything to make sure you leave with all questions and concerns taken care of! We just lost our amazing dog of 14 year’s yesterday and he called to check on us this morning before they even opened. That is VERY rare these day’s!”

“Dr Parks was absolutely wonderful. My 14 yo Shetland Sheepdog had a growth that was potentially cancerous. The initial visit I found the office staff to be friendly and kind. Dr. Parks and his assistant Vet Tech Lauren were exceptionally warm and welcoming to both of my Shelties. He gave her a thorough exam, and kept her anxiety to a minimum. He explained everything in detail. The staff gave me a quote, and the actual cost was lower than anticipated. He removed a growth from her lip and closed the wound with the mastery of a cosmetic surgeon. These folks are a true blessing.”

“Dr.’s A & B are superb with our pets and with our concerns for them. We have two Shetland Sheepdogs and two cats. Prior to having this pair of Shelties, we were brought to the time when we had to “put down” our beloved Sheltie, Sadie. She was 13 and was having her second fight with cancer. I was a total mess. But Dr. A gave us all the time we could handle with Sadie. She cried with us, hugged us and even sent us a white rose, which we pressed in a book and still keep 10 years after Sadies passing. They are are a real blessing to my wife, our pets and me.”
